Apple has updated its MacBook Pro with 8th-and 9th-generation Intel Core processors, bringing eight cores to the computer  and making it the fastest Mac ever.

According to Apple, the new MacBook Pro offers two times faster performance than a quad-core MacBook Pro and 40 percent more performance than a 6-core MacBook Pro. The new 13-inch machines are using updated quad-core processors, with the 6 and 8-core options limited to the 15-inch models. These new processors, combined with powerful graphics, the brilliant and colorful Retina Display, super fast SSD storages, Apple T2 Security Chips for enhanced security, all-day battery life, stereo speakers and Thunderbolt 3 ports, make MacBook Pro the world’s best Pro notebook.

MacBook Pro is more powerful than ever for compiling code, processing high-resolution images, rendering 3D graphics, editing multiple streams of 4K video and much more.

Meanwhile, pricing looks like this: the new 13-inch model starts at $1,799 while the 15-inch model starts at $2,399. Apple says the new models are available beginning today from Apple’s website directly and the Apple Store iOS app. They will be available from select Apple stores and authorised revellers.
